●  Please have the GIN teacher coordinator, an administrator from your school, and at least one GIN student leader, initial and commit to the process below.  This is to confirm the necessary resources outlined in this GIN guide will be accessible during the planning and conference event.

●  You will also find space to submit a letter of interest that will include why you (the student leaders) think your school community would be ideal and could benefit from hosting a GIN conference.

Committing to GIN Ethos as a GIN Conference Host
The host school must participate in a regional GIN Conference prior to applying to host their own conference. At least one team must represent the future host school and learn through experience what will be expected of them. *

Commitment to Actively Lowering, Offsetting and Sequestering Carbon on your Campus
The GIN conference values actively lowering its carbon footprint through a commitment to "paperless" virtual educational programming. All participants are encouraged to bring a “device”. The host school will make computers available for incoming participants who do not have access to a device. *

INITIAL STEPS TO START ORGANIZING A GIN CONFERENCE

The Commitment To Global Citizenry & Your Community
The GIN Director confirms that the school being considered has the capacity/tech capabilities and has the commitment to foster GIN community for at least a years time before hosting the conference and after the conference with this pledge.    We,______________________________________________ commit to fostering and maintaining an empowered GIN community and GIN programming at our school, via documentation of our GIN programming with a virtual presence on the GIN main site, with long term sustainable goals and projects that support continued GIN efforts and our goal of becoming and maintaining a status as a GIN School. Following your conference, we also request you to attend the next student-led GIN Conference in your region. We ask you to mentor the upcoming GIN Planning Team through-out the entire process. This must be signed and published to our website by admin, staff and students who are involved. *
