Session #1 will spotlight the online collaboration between Makarim (Mac) and Gan in making the video essay CITIZEN. Mac is a British physicist turned tour guide, and a current resident of Tokyo. Both have only met online and not in-person due to the pandemic. The dialogue will also discuss the idea of global citizenship and the sense of being of and from a place.

All the Time I Pray To Buddha, I Keep on Killing Mosquitoes (ATIPB) is a video installation exhibition and 4 dialogue sessions by Malaysian multi-disciplinary artist Gan Siong King. The exhibition is organized by Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur (JFKL), with support from Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre (PJPAC), and will run from 19 to 23 Jan 2022 at PJPAC.
