How do we operate?
Once a week at both our Phoenix & Mesa location we host what we call #washwithcarewednesday where we provide free laundry to anyone who comes through our doors. In addition to free laundry, we have service providers ready to assist customers and food trucks or volunteer chefs who provide hot, nutritious meals!
Community partner standards?
- Avoid poverty porn defined as: "any type of media, be it written, photographed or filmed, which exploits the poor's condition in order to generate the necessary sympathy for selling newspapers, increasing charitable donations, or support for a given cause.”
- Provide a certificate of insurance Social Spin should be listed as an additional insured on the agency's policy.
- Treat customers with dignity and respect Social Spin prides itself on curating safe, communal spaces where customers trust partners brought on to the campus. We ask that partners always treat customers with the utmost dignity and respect.
- Compensation for customers If you receive monetary benefit for a customer utilizing your service, customers should receive compensation in the form of gift card, free meal, etc.
- Track Outputs The best way for Social Spin to continue services available to customers is through data. Depending on the partnership we may request specific data be provided to Social Spin to aid with reporting.
