Jaharis Health Law Institute Student Fellow Application

Thank you for your interest in the Mary and Michael Jaharis Health Law Institute (JHLI) Student Fellowship Program. This prestigious Fellowship provides students with the opportunity to participate in the substantive work of the Institute. While prior experience in the health care field is great, it is not required.

Fellows will participate in a variety of activities including the Lunch Lecture Series, symposium, social events, and coffee talk series (to receive mentoring from upper level students). Students in the program will also be eligible to participate in the professional mentoring program and the Health Law Summer Scholars Program, where students receive a $7,000 stipend for a summer health law position (must apply and be accepted). Fellows will also receive a membership to the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, which provides free registration to networking and other health law events.

Fellows are responsible for attending JHLI programming and writing at least one blog post for the Institute's blog per year. Failure to fulfill these (minimal) requirements can result in removal from the Student Fellows Program.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; however, priority will be given to applications submitted on or before October 1, 2024. The Application Form is below. To complete your application, please also send an updated resume to the Faculty Director of JHLI, Wendy Epstein, at wepstein@depaul.edu.

We welcome you to apply and look forward to greeting our new Fellows!

Sincerely,

Wendy Netter Epstein
