Introduction: In this lesson we are going to learn how we even ask for forgiveness at Mass. At Mass we 1) confess our unloving actions when we say the Penitential Act prayer 2) when we pray the Lord's Prayer and 3) when we make peace with others when we offer the sign of peace. Let's turn to page 3 in your Lesson 5 and read a little more about the ways we make peace at Mass. Then answer the questions below.

Great Job!! Remember that God continues to forgive sins and give peace in the words and actions of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We also celebrate Jesus' reconciling love at Mass and we live it out when we make peace with one another. As we are getting closer to your First Reconciliation be sure to pull out your "My First Confession Steps" from you Reconciliation packet and review the steps with your parents so that you are prepared to ask God for forgiveness.
