Great news everyone - the Bay Area Book Festival is back and live again this year! YAY!

The festival will be held on May 6th and 7th in downtown Berkeley - thank you for joining our team! We couldn't do it without you!

This years festival has 2 new twists: the indoor shows during both Sat and Sunday day times are all FREE! We will have 2 evening ticketed events, both at The Freight. But every other show is free to attend.

and.. our Outdoor Fair will be on Sunday only, with more stages for more outdoor shows!

You all have been our Volunteers - and the jobs this year will be consistent: helping at the indoor venues with ticket lines, managing the theaters, and supporting the author talks, as well as at the Outdoor Fair with the outdoor stages. We also have volunteers helping in the Red Room (Production HQ) checking in/out volunteers, at the Author Gala on Friday night, on a podcasting or tech team, and in the Green Room with hospitality.

Let us know any production area you are interested in helping with, your availability, and we’ll find a job that fits your skill base! We always appreciate volunteers who are flexible and willing to do whatever is needed, and if possible, might grab a shift for both days!

Every volunteer will receive a festival lanyard to use after their volunteer shift is over to enjoy going to any of the available sessions.
