The Maine Lakes Society is celebrating its 50th anniversary with 50 awards to lake heroes from throughout the state who have gone to extraordinary lengths, either in their professional, personal or volunteer capacity, to inspire others and helped Maine Lakes Society achieve its mission of work to promote and protect clean and healthy lakes. Whether they are active now, or were key players in the past, we’d like to shout out to the people who have done their part not just to protect lakes but to promote lake protection with others in their communities.  Lake Heroes will be recognized throughout 2020 on our website and Facebook, as well as in our newsletters and at our annual conference in June.
