All visiting music tutors are very experienced teachers with their Working With Children Check (WWCC). Unfortunately lessons are not funded by the Department of Education & there are fees. The recommended fee for a 30 minute private music lesson is $50 GST inclusive. However, tutors can at their digression discount this fee to assist financially when needed. If you need financial please discuss directly with the music tutor.

Instruments can be purchased or hired and there are several options. Hire instrument from NSW DEC Instrumental Loan -$180 per year and the school has some instruments which can be borrowed at no cost. All instruments need to be service annually with an average cost $50 per instrument.
Of course you can also purchase an instruments from one of the local music shops.
All students learning an instrument from a visiting tutor must join the school band/ensemble. The band/ensemble fee for 2024 is $200 per year or $100 per semester. This covers the cost of visiting conductors who are not paid by the Department of Education. A student can participate in more than one band/ensemble for this fee. Online payment is available via School Bytes Parent Portal; go to the Payments, click "add other item" and choose "Music Ensemble Fee" then add the amount. The school will provide financial assistance on request for Music Ensemble Fee.
I will send further information about instrumental lessons when I receive this completed google form & pass your expression of interest onto the relevant musical tutor. The tutors will contact parent/caregivers to arrange lessons.
