Welcome to the NHS Tutor Request Form. Our NHS members volunteer their time to help the students of Twin Valley grow academically by providing this free volunteer tutor service. This tutor service is facilitated by our Tutor Chair, Grace Rohner.
To make sure that our help is the best fit for your needs, here is some key information that you should understand about this service before you continue:
1. This service is only for students who attend Twin Valley.
2. This is a volunteer service provided by our Twin Valley NHS members. All requests will be communicated to the NHS members; however, there may be a wait time for a tutor to become available. While it is our desire to fill all requests, completing this form does not guarantee that you will be matched with a tutor. Our Tutor Chair will be in weekly contact with you about the status of your request until it is met or you let us know that it is no longer needed.
3. You are not signing up for an on-going tutoring service*. Our NHS tutors will meet with you 1-2 times to help you with your specific area of need like: studying for an upcoming test, catching up on missed work, understanding a specific topic from a class in which you are struggling, etc.
*If you are looking for a weekly tutor for an extended period of time, please contact our Tutor Chair, Grace Rohner, directly at:
25GRohner@tvsd.info. If there is an NHS member who is available and would like to commit to your extended tutor request, then you will be paired with a tutor. If there is no one available, then we unfortunately will not be able to accommodate such a need.
4. If you have already received tutoring from NHS, you can fill out this form another time to sign up for more tutoring. You are not guaranteed to be paired with the same NHS tutor you had before.
If you feel that this will meet your current tutoring needs, please continue to fill out this form. You will receive an email confirmation of your request once your form is submitted. If your need is more extensive or urgent than we are able to accommodate, I am sorry that we will not be able to help you and there would be no need to complete this form.
