Home and School provides support and financial resources to St. Francis of Assisi School by offering volunteers, raising money and allocating those funds throughout the entire school.  You can be actively involved in the H&S mission by volunteering your time, talents and gifts.  No contribution is too small and all volunteer opportunities are flexible.  Want to volunteer?  Check out the opportunities below and indicate your interest. SCHOOL KITCHEN SERVING VOLUNTEER 11:00am-12:45pm
Assist with food serving on the serving line and lunchroom dismissal. Schedule is weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Volunteers are scheduled the same day(s) of the week every month. LUNCHROOM ASSISTANCE 11:00am-12:00pm
Assist students with condiments and dismissal as needed.  Parents can bring younger siblings. Grandparents or other relatives are welcome to volunteer as well.  Please indicate which day of the week you would like to volunteer.  Volunteers are typically scheduled once per month.  Please contact Cheryl Riedl at criedl@saintfrancisschool.org with any questions.
Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee coordinates meals for the teachers during fall and spring conferences.  Committee members plan the meals and assist in the set-up and clean-up.  Please contact Lindsay Struecker at dnlstruck@gmail.com with any questions.  
HOMEROOM PARENTS
Homeroom parents are a blessing to the teachers and students in their classrooms.  In K-5, two homeroom parents are needed per classroom.  In grades 6-8, one homeroom parent is needed per homeroom.  Responsibilities include planning two holiday parties per year, assist the host of the grade's parent party, recognize the Teacher's birthday.  Please indicate the grade you wish to be a homeroom parent for.  If more volunteers than needed sign-up, priority will be given in order of the responses received.  Please contact Jeni Tracey at jenibrees@gmail.com with any questions.

Grandparents Day
Grandparents Day is a sweet tradition at SFA.   It's a great opportunity for the students to show off their awesome grandparents and other special family to their friends and teachers.  Grandparents Day is tentatively scheduled for October 7th.  Approximately 20-30 volunteers are needed for the day of the event and will help in 2-3 hour shifts.  Please contact Nicole Neal at nikkijneal@gmail.com with any questions.  
School Supply Committee
Prepackaged School Supply boxes are a convenient way for families to obtain their school supplies.  This committee will help with finalizing school supply lists in coordination with the teachers (less than 2 hours here and there)  and help organize and distribute the boxes prior to Meet the Teacher morning on August 22 (about 4 hours).  Please contact Ali Maurice at alilee03@gmail.com with any questions.
Track-A-Thon
As one of our main fundraisers, the Track-A-Thon is a fun and healthy way to get students involved in raising money for the school.  We are looking for volunteers interested in helping with the planning and execution of the event.  Please contact Jess Hull at jessicalynn.hull@gmail.com with any questions.
Media Center
The Media Center relies on volunteers to assist with book-drop and shelving books, checking out books to student and other small library projects.  Volunteers are scheduled during non-class time during the school day.  Please contact Kerry LeWarne at klewarne@saintfrancissschool.org with any questions.  
Parent Parties
It has been a tradition at St Francis that a parent party is held towards the beginning of the year to allow all families within a grade to meet and enjoy each other's company.   If you would be interested in opening your house up for one of these parties,  please indicate what grade you would like to host.  All the hosts need to do is supply the house.  The homeroom parents take care of the rest of the coordination and supplies.    
ART ROOM ASSISTANT
Work with the art teacher by providing hands on assistance to students in grades K-2.  The day and time commitment varies according to the school schedule and will be determined at the beginning of the school year.  This is a great opportunity for not only parents but grandparents as well.  Please indicate the grade you would like to help.   Please contact Jamie Rempe at jamierempe@gmail.com with any questions.
Welcoming Committee
The Welcoming Committee is focused on welcoming new families to St. Francis.  Volunteers are needed to serve as Mentor families and help plan events and activities to welcome families into our school community.  Mentors connect with new families to answer questions and assist them with the transition to St. Francis.  Please contact Allison Kohlhaas at kohlhaasa@gmail.com with any questions.
BoxTop 4 Education Program
BoxTop Committee Chair helps to manage the tasks associated with St Francis receiving BoxTop donations via the BoxTop 4 Education program.   Committee Chair can work with the school to highlight the program as they see fit.    Most BoxTop submissions are done online.  
PBIS Reward Program (Prize Cart)
The PBIS Reward Program rewards students for displaying positive behaviors by issuing tickets.  Students can then redeem their tickets for prizes and experiences. Volunteers are needed to help stock and manage the cart from grade to grade. Select the grade(s) you are interested in supporting. Yearbook Committee
The Yearbook Committee helps organize photos received throughout the year, as well as designs the yearbook cover and inside layout.  If you have a graphic design background, creative eye or love organization, we'd love your help!  Please contact Molly Allen at allen.mollym@gmail.com or Stacie Shelton at Sta9636@yahoo.com with any questions.

BID 4 THE KIDS:  St. Francis School Auction
The success of this important fundraiser would not be possible without the time and talent of many volunteers.  There are several opportunities to get involved, whether periodically throughout the school year or during the weekend of the event.  Thank you for considering how you can contribute to the success of the auction as a volunteer this year! Gift/Donations Co-Chairs
The Auction Gift/Donations (co)chairs are responsible for helping solicit and procure gifts to be auctioned off at the event.
Sponsorship Co-Chairs
The Sponsorship (co)chairs are responsible for helping solicit cash donations from donors, both new and returning using historical data.
Budget Co-Chair
The Budget Chair is responsible for working closely with the auction chair and marketing chair in coordinating and communicating all necessary information to the H&S treasurer to support tracking documentation needed for revenue, expenses, and deposits.
Decor Co-Chair
Volunteers needed to assist the committee chairs with event design and planning logistics with appropriate campus staff and onsite vendors.
Food & Beverage/Entertainment Co-Chairs
The Food & Beverage (F&B)/Entertainment (co)chairs are responsible for planning food and beverage to be served during the event and entertainment, to include planning logistics with all appropriate campus staff and onsite vendors.
Marketing Co-Chairs
The Marketing (co)chairs are responsible for coordinating closely with the gifts and sponsorship chairs to coordinate advertising needs including social media, the bidding platform to include website creation (on a drag & drop platform), attendee management and communication, and exporting revenue projections.
General Auction Activities
Volunteers needed to assist the auction chairs with running errands to pickup already secured donations, scheduling and managing volunteer activities, leading volunteer teams during event set-up and tear down, preparing auction packets for school families, selling auction tickets/raffle tickets after masses and at school events.
SFA Auction Class Gift Coordinator
 Responsible for coordinating, planning and preparing the SFA Auction class gift for their assigned grade level.  Works with the SFA Auction committee in determining what the gift will be and coordinating production of the gift to include student involvement and assistance from the grade level homeroom parents as needed.  There will be one coordinator assigned for each grade level.
