About Shayna Vincent

Shayna Vincent is a 37-year-old wife, mother, and stage IV breast cancer patient.  When researching how to talk with young children about cancer and treatments, she quickly recognized the lack of resources and children’s books that had the honest and open approach she was looking for.

Throughout her 3+ years of various treatments and heartaches, she was able to merge her passion of helping others and writing therapy to create an educational book for children whose parent is facing cancer.  The story, Mama’s Year with Cancer, is from a child’s perspective with a specific focus on chemotherapy.
