This form is to apply as a Mentor with Iron & Earth. You can view our current mentorship program and team at
www.climatecareerportal.com/mentors.
Iron & Earth has created a Mentorship program within the Climate Career Portal that is designed to support fossil fuel and Indigenous workers to build and implement climate solutions. Through one-on-one sessions with Mentees, Mentors will provide support and guidance to workers who want to transfer to the net-zero economy. Iron & Earth is looking for Mentors who can commit within the range of one to fifteen (1-15) hours per month on a part-time and contract basis. Mentorship sessions will be scheduled by prospective Mentees, and so the actual workload will vary month to month based on demand. Sessions will only be scheduled within the provided available time frame by the Mentor, using the scheduling software Calendly, therefore Mentors can reduce or increase their available hours based on their personal schedule.
Mentors can either choose to apply as a volunteer, or as a paid contractor. If applying as a contractor, Mentors will be compensated for their time at a rate that will be discussed in a one-on-one interview following your application. Mentors will report to the Innovation & STEM Manager and will also work closely with the Mentorship Coordinator.
