Out for Undergrad College Application Fee Support

In July 2023, Out for Undergrad (O4U) created a fund of $10,000 USD to cover college application fee expenses for students from underrepresented communities, including those who were previously supported by affirmative action policies and students served by the O4U MOSAIC programming. 

This fund was in response to the Supreme Court rulings against both Harvard and the University of North Carolina eliminating the legal use of race-conscious higher education admissions, and the use of affirmative action to promote diversity, and ensure equal opportunity within the admissions process.

To qualify: 

  • Recipients must identify as Black, LatinX/E, Native/Indigenous, and/or Hispanic 
  • In alignment with the mission of Out for Undergrad, priority will be given to LGBTQ2+ applicants
  • International students are eligible; however, applicable application fees must be for a college or university in the United States
  • In addition to undergraduate application fees being considered, current undergraduate students may apply for graduate school application fees
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of form submission 
By submitting this application you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following: 
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered
  • All covered application fees must be for college applications submitted in 2023 and/or 2024
  • Applicants must utilize the application fee funding to apply to the named college/university within 3 months of the receipt of the funds
  • Applicants may apply for funding just one time, but multiple application fees may be submitted for consideration in a single application
  • The maximum award is $200 per applicant
  • Applications will be reviewed once per month and awards will be granted via a digital Visa/Mastercard gift card in the amount of the application fee(s)
  • Awards are not transferable
  • Award notification will be sent via email. Applicants will only be contacted if granted an award. 
  • Proof of college application fee payment may be requested from a recipient at any time
  • Awards will be granted at the sole discretion of O4U
  • Terms, conditions, and process for awarding may change at any time, and without notice
  • This application will close on October 1, 2024, or when all funds have been awarded
  • O4U reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the application and awarding process at any time
  • O4U is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, technical error or human error which may occur in the processing of entries and submissions
