Request to Schedule and Facilitate Carpentries Community Discussion
Community Discussions are designed for everyone in The Carpentries community interested in learning, educating and advocating for teaching foundational coding and data science skills globally. Discussion topics range anywhere from teaching workshops and developing curricula to building local communities and assessing the impact of our workshops globally. We welcome community members to facilitate community discussions.  Community discussions are typically scheduled on a quarterly cycle (https://docs.carpentries.org/topic_folders/instructor_development/community_discussions.html#signing-up-to-host-or-co-host-a-community-discussion). This allows The Carpentries Community Development Team to support your recruitment initiatives and help publicise your event. You may use this form in the rare instance that you need to schedule such sessions outside of a quarter. Your event is not confirmed until you hear from a member of the Community Development Team. For more information, contact community@carpentries.org.
