Workshop - Using English intonation in different social and professional contexts

In the workshop “Using English intonation in different social and professional contexts" participants will be introduced to English intonation, in words and phrases, and how to use this melodic pattern of an utterance to improve clarity, meaning and intent in oral communication. Examples of the use of intonation will be taken from conversation (statements, questions, responses) in social and professional/academic contexts. The workshop will include both an explanation of the rules and usage of intonation and practice through participant interaction. The workshop will be taught in English.
