POSITION SUMMARY:
Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County is seeking an Education Liaison for each of the the 21st Century Community Learning Center Programs for the 2022-2023 School year (10-month position). Programs will be held at Parishville-Hopkinton Central School, Colton-Pierrepont Central School, Edwards-Knox Central School, and Hermon-Dekalb Central School. Hours will be flexible, however, it is expected that a weekly commitment of 10 hours per week be made to these job duties.

PRIMARY REPSONSIBILITIES:
The Education Liaison oversees all academic components of the 21st
Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Program with Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County at one of the program locations (Parishville-Hopkinton Central School, Colton-Pierrepont Central School, Edwards-Knox Central School, Hermon-DeKalb Central School), and is
instrumental in facilitating the linkage between the school day staff, principal, and the
afterschool staff, in assuring the appropriate curriculum is being utilized, and that it meets the
needs of the enrolled students.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and maintain a relationship with regular school day staff (administrators, ELA
& Math teachers, paras, etc.), and with afterschool administrative and program staff
(director, teachers).
2. Ensure that existing curriculum is being effectively implemented within the after school program, and evaluate content and delivery of curriculum to ensure they meet stated program objectives, needs, and interests in Math, ELA, & SEL curriculum.
3. Maintains close, daily contact with 21st CCLC program director and professional staff to
interpret and explain curriculum data, program objectives and standards, discuss
issues, and provide/receive information.
4. Maintain documented bi-monthly communication with school-day teachers to align
curriculum, in person, or via telephone or email.
5. Maintain documented bi-monthly communication with afterschool program teachers to
communicate plan to teachers.
6. Conduct one documented on-site monthly observation of teacher curriculum
implementation.
7. Compile reports as required reflecting participation, assessments, progress.
8. Serve on CCE 21st CCLC Program Advisory Committee.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in an education-related field
• 1+ years of demonstrated ability in curriculum planning, implementation, evaluation, management, and
tracking student academic growth.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to participate in professional team efforts.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES:
• Possess a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, Education Leadership, or similar
credential
• Possess knowledge and experience with Program Logic Model development.
• Familiarity of subject matter appropriate to area of programming (4-H Youth Development and Agriculture).
• Demonstrated initiative, reliability and dependability.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, implement, and evaluate informal educational programs.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize computer technologies for educational and communication purposes.
