If you have interest in enrolling your student in music lessons for the 2019-2020 school year, the following details explain the commitment and responsibility:
-The cost of lessons for 2018-2019 was $552 per semester for 12 lessons (rate for 2019-2020 to be announced), with the cost of any method books or other materials billed separately. If fewer or more than 12 lessons are scheduled then the fee will be pro-rated. The drop/add deadline for academic courses will serve as the deadline for anyone wishing to discontinue lessons. Students dropping after the drop/add deadline must pay the entire fee for the term. Billing is coordinated with the Brooks School Business Office and charged to the student account.
-Enrollment is presumed to be for the entire academic year unless the Director of Private Lessons is notified prior to the drop/add date for the 2nd semester.
-Enrollment must be renewed annually for returning students.
-Completion of this form is an indication of interest and not a guarantee of enrollment. Students will be contacted at the beginning of the school year to confirm interest and begin the scheduling process.
-The student is expected to take personal responsibility for informing the private lesson instructor at least 24 hours in advance if they must be absent from a lesson. Absences will be reviewed by the Director of Private Lessons, and a make-up lesson will be scheduled only in cases where:
1) The absence was truly unavoidable AND
2) 24 hour notification was given or was impossible to give
