ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Oral tradition is common across all cultures. In the reading curriculum, storytelling can help children with fluency, oral expression, recall of story sequence, and other language skills. Moreover, folktales are the perfect segue to make connections with IEFA standards. Exploring motifs across native traditions is a natural connection with speaking, listening, reading, and writing. In this session, participants will learn how to use IEFA literature and build students’ language skills.
