2023-2024 Secondary Supplementary Fiction & Non-Fiction Teacher Nomination Form
IMPORTANT: Completion of the entire form is required before the committee can process your request. Your responses will be shared with the novels committee. Please be thoughtful in your evaluation of the criteria for adoption.

Some books may be controversial because of violence, use of profanity, or *frankness in dealing with sex; however, when it opens a clearer vision of life, develops understanding of people, or breaks down intolerance, these virtues must be weighed against possible harm a shocking word or passage might do, particularly where taste rather than morals is offended.

*Please be aware of the Utah law (HB 374) regarding sensitive materials; consider whether the text is age appropriate as well as making sure it would not be considered harmful to minors under Utah law.
