Welcome! My name is Kassidy Mickelson. I'm going to highlight some important rules and other information from my class:

1. State standards can be found at the following URL: https://www.schools.utah.gov/file/40bc953b-9886-461c-903a-31fe00315a0b
2. Standard Grading Scale, 93%=A 83%=B 73%=C 63%=D... ETC. 75% of their grade will be assignments and quizzes, while 25% will be for doing their 50 minutes of typing practice each week following my link in my canvas course to access the course's typing practice website.
3. No earbuds/headphones unless specified by me
4. Phones put away, unless specified by me
5. Students are responsible for getting their assignments turned in. Students are responsible for using Canvas to find out what work needs to be done if they were absent. I do accept late work and allow students to retake quizzes until the deadline I set at the end of each quarter.
6. No food, water is ok, but make sure the bottle can be shut securely to avoid spills around computers.
7. Students are responsible for damaged equipment and missing equipment they borrow. (I will occasionally give out microphones and headphones to students to use during class, these need to be returned to me by the end of class or the student that borrowed it will be held responsible)
8. Students must follow the appropriate use policy found at the following URL: https://aup.wsd.net/
9. If a student knows they will miss several days of class it is their responsibility to use Canvas and communication with the teacher to ensure they are keeping caught up on their work.
10. Students are also expected to follow the classroom expectations I establish. These can be found on Canvas.
