Questioning is a huge art of learning; can you train yourselves to answer in the form of a question? Test your team’s knowledge on various topics related to the AVID Curriculum and program in AVID Jeopardy.
Procedure
Teams consisting of four to six (4-6) members each will compete by giving appropriate responses to items presented by a moderator. These items may be in the form of questions. Winners will be determined by a series of elimination rounds.
A. The AVID Jeopardy competition will take place on conference day, April 22, 2024.
B. AVID Jeopardy will be played using Kahoot. One team member will need access to a phone or tablet.
C. AVID schools will be limited to two teams per school. Additional teams will be put on a waiting list.
D. There will be up to 9 teams competing in rounds 1 & 2 (18 total teams). Competition times will be shared at least one week before the conference. If a team does not check in, they automatically forfeit.
E. Each round will contain an equal number of questions. Questions will NOT be shared prior to the contest.
F. The number of rounds will be determined based on the number of teams in the competition.
G. The two highest scoring teams for each round will advance to the final round.
THE FINAL DATE FOR TEAM NAMES AND COMPETITORS TO BE SUBMITTED IS APRIL 8, 2024. AVID teachers will need to fill out separate forms for each team. (One form per team)
