Grab a friend and get out for a hike in the woods! We will hike about 2.5 miles on the Haw River Trail, the Island Trail and the Highlands Trail. We will get some great views of the river and the dam at Glencoe. Expect rolling, natural surface (roots, rocks, etc.) terrain with a few steep hills. Wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes. Bring a water bottle, insect repellent. Trekking poles recommended.

All ages welcome. Minors to be accompanied by an adult.

The hike starts promptly at 6 pm. Plan to arrive a few minutes early. Meet in the parking area at Great Bend Park. Car pool if possible - the parking lot is small.
