We need to hear from you.  Our education team volunteers are working hard to design a summer workshop that meets the demand.  We need to know what would and would not work for you. Please review the three options below and tell us if you have any interest.
This is not registration for the summer workshop which will take place July 24 - 28.
Once we see the results of this interest survey, registration will open with payment required.
Scholarships are available through Afterschool Child Enrichment. These 3 workshops all qualify for Ohio ACE ... here's how it works. Limited local scholarships are also available.

ACTING UP IN THE FOOTLIGHTS
Designed for ages 7 - 9.  
Dates: July 24 - 28
Location: First Church of the Nazarene FLC
Times: 9am to noon
Cost: $150

Workshop limited to 20

Showcase performance workshop where participants work together to produce a play. Attend classes each morning, learning the basics of theatre, getting acquainted with the script, casting the show, and creating the scenery and props for their show. Parents are invited to a showcase performance at warehouse14 @ 2:00pm.on Saturday July 29, The showcase will also perform during The Mount Vernon Music and Arts Festival.

C.R.E.W.S. (Critical Roles & Experiences Working on Shows) 
Designed for ages 12 -18.  
Dates: July 24 - 28 
Location: First Church of the Nazarene FLC
Times: 9am to 1pm

Workshop limited to 20

Previously called Tech Track, this workshops introduces the jobs behind the curtain.  Workshop mornings will be spent with Showcase Participants (age 7-9) helping design the set, build the props, create the vision for the play to be presented at Showcase.  C.R.E.W.S will set up the pop up blackbox at warehouse14, run the box office, run lights and sound, work as backstage crew for the Showcase performance on July 29 and during the MVMAF.
After the festival, the emphasis will shift to working as C.R.E.W.S for Matilda JR production in September.

MATILDA JR 
Designed for ages 10-18.  
Dates: July 24 - 28
Location: First Church of the Nazarene FLC
Times: 9am to 3pm
Cost: $250
*includes show t-shirt, libretto, ticket allowance

Students will work on Matilda JR choreography, vocals, and scripts in their morning show-specific classes.  Afternoons will be theatre education classes. Share what classes you would like to see offered in the next section.
Vocal auditions will take place Thursday afternoon. Character reading auditions will take place on Friday.  
Rehearsals for September's Matilda JR will begin the next week.
