Twenty-One Months after the Coronavirus Breakout:What to Learn from Labour Migration Activism in East Asia and Italy
This event aims to improve our understanding of the challenge posed by Coronavirus to democracy, human rights, equality and justice in East Asia and Italy. We invite activists on the ground to share their experiences and practices.These activists will focus on the impact of Coronavirus on migrants' well-being with reference to
👉 how sending and receiving states can work together to remedy shortcomings of the current recruitment system in East Asia and Italy;
👉 how receiving state and civil society can support migrant workers when mobility was deprived and employment dried out;
👉 how civil society can raise public awareness for the wellbeing of migrant workers in emergency.
