The goal of this training is to assist schools to build Psychological First Aid (PFA), support teams. PFA is the suggested component of the recovery process of your Emergency Operations Plan. The PFA response can help staff and students recover from a broad range of stressful reactions to crisis incidents.
This training is designed for staff who have served or plan to serve on the Crisis Response Team.
At this time, PFA training is being provided at no cost to schools. Each level is one day in length from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM. All training is virtual during COVID-19.
Directions:
Please use the following form to register for the PFA training. Your responses will be used as a way to register you for the training. Your information will be confidential. Participants and teams may choose from three levels of training.
Please note: You do not have to attend training in any particular order. It is not required to attend each level but it is encouraged. Please select dates that work with your schedule. If you are not sure if you will be attending a later training, you are not required to respond and can come back at a later time and register once you are sure of your availability.
