As calls to defund the police continue to gain ground, many are wondering if police abolition makes sense or if it is feasible. Join us for a three-week discussion of Alex Vitale's "The End of Policing," a groundbreaking work on police abolition. Vitale is Professor of Sociology and Coordinator of the Policing and Social Justice Project at Brooklyn College. His writings about policing have appeared in the New York Times, New York Daily News, USA Today, the Nation, Vice News, Vox, Jacobin, NPR, and more.
