The Arcadia Local School District is beginning 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜.  Strategic planning helps us to identify the needs of our district and develop a plan to meet those needs.  We currently do not have a facilities plan in place.  These survey results will help us develop a long-term plan.  The strategic planning core committee and the facilities focus group are requesting community input in this process.  

This survey's intent is to gather information regarding both short and long term facility upgrades.  Please read the information about past and current facility maintenance and upgrades in our district.   Then complete the survey questions.  We value your input.

𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬:
     > parking lot
     > addition of four new elementary classrooms, two resource rooms and west side parking and entrance
     > windows throughout the entire building
     > new entryway
     > chrome books and laptops for all students K-12 and technology upgrades
     > classroom and hallway lighting for energy efficiency
     > air conditioning installed in 1976 addition
     > new boiler installed during summer of 2020

Large scale additions to Arcadia's facilities were completed in 1923, 1953, 1961, 1976 and 2019.


𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧-𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞/𝐮𝐩𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚:
     > updates to the heating system
     > on-going repairs and updates to sewer lines
     > on-going repairs to water lines
     > updates to electrical systems
     > exit and entry doors upgrades
     > installation of secure classroom doors
     > roof replacement (the bus garage, senior hallway and red barn all have roofs over 20 years old)
     > bus maintenance and purchases
     > planning, purchase and construction of greenhouse
     > carpet and plumbing in classrooms
     > upgrades to security systems

Additionally, there are continued supports for extracurricular such as lighting on the stage, football field lights, musical instruments and weight room equipment.
