2347 Regimental Army Cadet Corps
EXERCISE “Nanook”
As part of our complimentary training, from 21-23 Feb 2020, the Argyll Cadet Corps along with 2865 RCACC and 150 RCACS will be conducting a joint Cold Weather Exercise at Blackdown CTC.
Cadets will meet at the armouries, on 21 Feb 2020 NLT 1800hrs (6:00 pm.) Cadets must have the proper clothing & kit required and in possession of their Health Card. Corps/ Sqn staff will complete a “kit check” for each cadet attending. If they do not possess the items required, they will be turned away.
Attached is an example of a general “kit list” explaining the items that should be brought by the cadet for an exercise. Parkas, wind pants and mukluks will be provided but extra clothing is a must. PLEASE ANTICIPATE FOR SEASONAL WEATHER CONDITIONS. Any dietary or medical conditions, as well as medication, must be reported to the corps staff. Please note that medications will be kept with and the responsibility of the cadet.
As with many outdoor activities, there is a degree of risk involved. All safety precautions will be taken to safeguard participants from injuries. Corps/ Sqn officers are trained in first aid and have speciality training in a variety of subjects.
Cadets will be departing Blackdown by 1500hrs (3:00pm) on the 23 Feb 2020. On return to the John Foote Armouries, they are required to assist in the return and storage of corps equipment. Dismissal will be approx. 1730hrs (5:30 pm.), 1800hrs (6:00pm) respectively, please pick up your child on time.
