Joining the club allows us provide liability & accident insurance for our event volunteers (under the club's insurance policy) as well as to make a clear distinction between (a) your voluntary contribution as a signed-up club member; and (b) staff of DERM or MSI who may be performing paid work as a sub-contractor or as direct employee of MSI.                                                      The Trans-Savoie is organised by the (not-for-profit) Association DIG / EAT / RIDE / MEET (DERM), in partnership with MOUNTAIN SPORTS INTERNATIONAL (MSI) that manages promotion, marketing, and ticket sales, and all commercial aspects of the event.  DERM's mission is to create MTB events for its members and the general public which promote social cohesion and mutual respect between MTB enthusiasts and other trail users; be an advocate for promoting the sport of MTB in the Savoie region in council discussions about trail access and regulations; and in actively participating in trail maintenance days for the benefit of both VTT and all other users. *

You might not hear much from us for quite some time - but once your name is on this form, be assured that we are definitely counting on you 100% for the event! Each volunteer costs us around €1000 in total to feed, house, transport, buy lift passes and insurance for, etc and if you are a no-show, that's already money paid-out wether you are there on not.  It also means we'll be one down on the crew, which can cause us quite some headaches.
We understand that plans can change, or external factors may prevent you from coming.
All we ask is to please keep us updated from here on in.  If you change your mind or even think that things might be difficult and things are looking uncertain for you - that's fine, we can nearly always work around it....but only if you please tell us! - The earlier we know, the better!
