Becoming an Orientation student leader is a great way to get connected on campus, meet other engaged student volunteers and make an impact on first-year students! Your involvement in Orientation can be an incredible introduction to leadership or provide you an opportunity to sharpen your skills. Orientation is highly successful because of student leaders like you!

As a quick reminder, please see our critical dates below:
  • Tour Guide Training - Thursday, Aug. 22 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Campus Tours - Friday & Saturday, Aug. 23 & 24 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Orientation Day Training - Thursday & Friday, Aug. 29 & Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Orientation Days - Tuesday & Wednesday, Sept. 3 & 4 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Welcome Booths - between Sept. 5 and 12 various times
  • First-Day Back Party - Thursday, Sept. 5 from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Campus Carnival - Thursday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

**If you can only support Orientation Days and not the other opportunities, please still apply and indicate you are only interested in supporting Orientation Days on September 3rd and 4th below. 

Time Commitment
Choose your own commitment level! Our Orientation programming runs throughout August and September and can be as little as a few hours to up to 20+ hours depending on your involvement. Some roles require extensive training and other roles only require you to show up and be your engaging self! We also offer other opportunities outside of Orientation such as being a mentor in our First-Year Mentorship Program that would be a longer commitment throughout the school year.
