Alex Zhuk '21, Co-Founder of Perennial. Alex will discuss his journey at Brown University and how he went from a student to a co-founder of a company that was listed as one of Time Magazine's 2022 Best Inventions. You will also have a chance to join the conversation and ask questions.
Perennial, is a startup that fuses machine learning, ground observations, and remote sensing to map historical, present, and future soil carbon and land-based emissions at continent-level scales. It is a leading measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) platform for soil-based carbon removal. Founded by three Brown University engineering alumni; Jack Roswell, ‘21 David Schurman, ‘20 and Alex Zhuk, ‘21. Perennial was named as one of Time Magazine’s 2022 Best Inventions and the founders were distinguished by Forbes Magazine in their 30 under 30 Class of 2023 in recognition of young leaders who are turning to entrepreneurship to solve the world’s biggest problems.
