Sign up for sculpting by January 31.
A team of 2-4 sculptors is found to be optimal but more and individuals are welcome.
A 4’x4’x5’ cylinder of snow will be placed along the west side of Smith Park (Cleveland Street) for your team to sculpt. You may select any block of snow that is available.
Sculpting may begin anytime after Noon on Friday, February 4 and ends at 2:45pm on Saturday, February 5
Professional sculptors will compete in a separate division
Judging held at 2:45pm Saturday, great prizes for winners, goodie bags to all participating teams
Categories to be judged: Originality Award, Visual Impact Award, Kids Appeal Award, Just ‘Cuz We Liked It Award and the Master Builder Award.  
Fee:  FREE!  But teams must register by deadline

Rules:
Select any block marked with a reserved sign
Sculpture must be made completely from snow*
No colorant (like paint, etc.) may be used
Spritzing or misting your sculpture to solidify a sculpture is permitted
An ice chopper (with chisel edge or a roofing shovel) and small hand tools work well
A drawing or photograph of the sculpture to work from is recommended

*Snow covered supporting pieces like wood lath, rebar, or PVC pipe may be used.  No plywood, lumber or
  cardboard.  Support pieces will be discarded after the sculpture melts.
