Zines as ____: The Expansive Nature of Teaching with Zines
Bring your curiosity and your questions to a free, generative workshop--led by Amanda Meeks of Outspokin & Bookish--for educators working with students of any age. Zines are an accessible medium with the potential to enhance students’ learning experiences in a multitude of ways. We will use prompts to provoke new and unusual ideas for using zines as a teaching tool, creative expression, as collaboration, for self-discovery or reflection, and so much more. Participants will have an opportunity to create a zine in response to the group discussion and prompts.
The workshop will be held in-person on April 8 from 10 am until 12 pm at the University of Arizona Poetry Center. It is capped at 20 participants.
