Open Enrollment affords parents/guardians to request a school other than their neighborhood school or current school of attendance. If you want to enroll your student in a special program, such as Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Public Safety Academy (PSA), Dual Immersion Language Academy (DI) @ Sullivan, Sem Yeto High School, Matt Garcia Career & College Academy (MGCCA), International Baccalaureate (IB) @Armijo High School, Early College High School (ECHS), Virtual Academy, etc., please contact the respective program coordinator directly for application information or click HERE for more specific information.

Students under contract to attend an alternative school/program (such as PSA, ECHS, MGCCA, DI, GATE magnet program, IB, Virtual Academy) for the 2024-2025 school year, are not eligible to transfer out of the program and an Open Enrollment application should not be submitted.

To apply to transfer to another comprehensive school site, students must be enrolled in their neighborhood or current school of attendance before an Open Enrollment application will be considered (unless a special request has been approved by the Student and Family Services Department). While on the Open Enrollment waiting list, students must attend their neighborhood school.
