Section 125 Employer Contributions Dues Paying Member Poll
Thank you to those that were able to be in attendance to the membership meetings on Tuesday.

We had two very different discussions between the lunch meeting and after work meeting.

During the lunch meeting, the discussion focused on a stipend that we would bargain to get annually. The stipend would depend on how much you would be contributing to your Section 125. There would be taxes and OPE paid by the employee and the college.

The option favored in the evening would be time off or college closures which neither the employee or the college would be hit with the extra taxes or OPE. But would not directly help members with the financial impact of healthcare.

Both have their drawbacks and both have their positive points. One last option we discussed was to see if we could get an employer contribution to a retirement plan. For employees that are not close to retirement this could possibly be the best option. For those a couple years out from retirement, it most likely would not be of any assistance for them.

We are sending this poll out to our dues paying members. We are going to keep this poll open through Monday 11/28/22. Please take a minute to rank 1-4 which options that you like the best. We are going to do our best to get the option that receives the highest ranking.

We would like to collect your name and email, so that we can be sure that the information we collect in this poll is from dues paying members.

Thank you
