Prehistoric Texas Educational Art Contest
Do you love dinosaurs? Anyone ages 3 and up can enter the first annual Prehistoric Texas Educational Art Contest to win fun prizes and help educate the public about Texas’s prehistoric natural history.

Entries can be made from January 27th – February 22nd and must be submitted through email to:

Contest Opens: January 27th, 2023 at 12 pm CST 
All submissions are due by February 22, 2023 at 12 pm CST 
Late entries will not be reviewed and are ineligible for prizes. We are not accepting physical entries, only digital.

Proper use of scientific names of prehistoric plants and animals is a component of the judging criteria for every age category except ages 3-6, including the adult category. For ages 3-6 a basic description is acceptable. 
Please list the geologic time period your piece is intended to depict (ex: Cretaceous period)
I understand that if I am selected as a winner, only 4 free tickets to the Zilker Botanical Garden will be available to me to attend the Awards Ceremony on March 4, 2023. Any additional family or friends will need to purchase regular entry to the garden to attend the ceremony.  *
