J.O. Wilson Nomination Form: PTA, LSAT, W6PSPO
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, the PTA will hold annual elections for the following: PTA Officers, parent representative on the LSAT, and parent representatives for the Ward 6 Public School Parent Organization.

Use this form to nominate yourself or someone else that you believe will best represent the interests of J.O. Wilson and the Cardinal community. Enter one nominee for each position. Leave the section blank if you have no nominee for a position.

Please submit nominations by Friday, October 7, 2022 at 6:00pm. Nominations will also be allowed from the floor during the meeting on October 11th.

PTA NOMINATIONS - OFFICER POSITIONS
Per the bylaws, officer positions may be held by voting members of the PTA - this includes parents, guardians, grandparents, and J.O. Wilson staff. Officers are elected for 2 year terms.

Please include the nominee's name and contact information (if known).

Treasurer: Duties include maintaining a full account of the funds of the PTA; making disbursements as authorized by the President, executive board, or the J.O. Wilson ES PTA in accordance with the budget adopted by the J.O. Wilson ES PTA; and managing PTA grant funding. (2 yr term)
Assistant Treasurer: Duties include helping Treasurer maintain a full account of the funds of the PTA; making disbursements as authorized by the President, executive board, or the J.O. Wilson ES PTA in accordance with the budget adopted by the J.O. Wilson ES PTA; and managing PTA grant funding. (1 yr term)
Fundraising Director: Duties include identifying and managing fundraising opportunities; building and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and residents in the community; and sits on the Fundraising & Events Committee. (1 yr term)
Assistant Fundraising Director: Duties include helping the Fundraising Director with identifying and managing fundraising opportunities; building and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and residents in the community; and sits on the Fundraising & Events Committee. (2 yr term)
LSAT NOMINATIONS: 4 PARENT REPRESENTATIVES (currently 1 open position to be filled)
The LSAT is a group of elected and appointed members that exists for every DCPS school. The team consists of parents, teachers, non-instructional school staff, a community member, and in some cases students, for the purposes of making recommendations to the principal on matters that promote high expectations and high achievement for all students. There are 4 parent positions on the J.O. Wilson LSAT.

NOTE: These seats are independent from the PTA and are open to any J.O Wilson parent or guardian. Please include nominee's name and contact information (if known).

LSAT Parent Rep - Nomination 1:
W6PSPO NOMINATIONS: 2 PARENT REPRESENTATIVES
W6PSPO is a group of parents and principals from local neighborhood schools that work together to strengthen the public schools around Capitol Hill and Ward 6 and improve the education received by all children. J.O. Wilson sends 2 parent representatives to participate in W6PSPO.

NOTE: These seats are independent from the PTA and are open to any J.O Wilson parent or guardian.
