Duke Master of Arts in Teaching Program                     Durham Teaching Fellowship Application
This application for the Durham Teaching Fellowship must be submitted by February 8, 2021. Fellowship applications received by January 15, 2021 will receive priority consideration.

The Durham Teaching Fellowship is a competitive graduate fellowship jointly funded by the President's Office, Trinity College's Dean's office, and the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program.The Durham Teaching Fellowship provides fellows with full tuition support and a $1,000/month stipend for the duration of the MAT program (12 months). Tuition support is administered as a forgivable loan, with full forgiveness granted for teaching two years in Durham Public Schools within the first four years of completing the MAT program. Candidates in all subject areas are eligible to apply.

For you to be considered for the Durham Teaching Fellowship, we must receive this application no later than January 15, 2021. Submit this form IN ADDITION TO the 2021-2022 FAFSA, which must be completed online at: www.fafsa.ed.gov. Duke University will receive your electronic FAFSA data provided you designate the Duke University Graduate School Title IV code: E00165.

While there is no formal deadline for loan applications, the process takes six to eight weeks. Please take this timeframe into consideration and submit your FAFSA application as soon as possible.
