CUNY Research Scholars Program: Expression of Interest Form.
WHAT IS CRSP?

Students participating in the CUNY Research Scholars Program (CRSP) at Kingsborough Community College will work over the course of one academic year on a unique Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Students will receive stipends totaling up to $4,000 (pending funding availability) and course credits on their transcripts through enrollment in research courses. The program culminates in a CUNY wide presentation at the CRSP Symposium in August.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND STIPEND AMOUNTS

CRSP is intended to be a full one-year program and students are expected to participate for the full academic year. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis for students graduating mid-year or in other situations that prevent full participation. Preference will be given to full year students. Students cleared to participate for a partial year must return for the summer/presentation component of the program.

In order to be enrolled in CRSP at Kingsborough:
• You must be a full-time Kingsborough student. For financial aid reasons, students must be full-time BEFORE counting the research course credits. Student credit load may not exceed 18 credits per semester. Students must not drop any courses without speaking to an advisor first or they may wind up owing money to the government or the college.
• An instructional staff member must agree to be your mentor.
• Completion of program application & required forms.
• Complete online Research Ethics course.
• Attend all CRSP monthly group meetings, workshops and presentations.
• You must attend online orientation. Date: Late-August - Early September 2022.

For the 2022 – 2023 program, please complete the form below.  Please make sure all information is up-to-date and accurate. All students who submit their form, will receive the directions to complete the Online Research Ethics Course. Once you provide the Certificate of Completion for the Research Ethics course, you will receive the formal application for the program.
