HPFT Staff/Prefect/Newsletter Editor Application

Applications for all roles are open until the 10th of the month - we encourage you to apply for as many positions as you're interested in, even if you're fairly new to the site. You must be at least 18 to apply for auror/professor, at least 16 to apply for gamekeeper/muggle liaison, and at least 13 to apply for prefect. (There are no age restrictions for house newsletter editors.) We'll notify you one was or the other by the end of the month you apply in - if we don't offer you a position immediately, we'll keep your application under consideration for an additional two months. After that, you'll need to apply again.

Descriptions of sex in M-rated fics with a Sexual Content advisory cannot include direct reference to genitalia (i.e., anatomical/slang words).

An M-rated fic with a Consent Issues (Severe) advisory can include explicit content depicting an adult being raped under some circumstances.

A graphic fight in which two people seriously injure but do not kill each other may be allowed in a T-rated fic with a Violence advisory.

An M-rated story that depicts an adult couple getting tipsy/drunk and then having consensual sex always requires a Consent Issues (Mild/Moderate) advisory.

An M-rated story with a Self-Harm advisory can depict a character cutting themselves without explicitly regretting it.

A fifteen year old may be depicted smoking marijuana in a T-rated fic with a Substance Abuse advisory.

A Hate Speech advisory is necessary if the word "cunt" is used in describing a sex scene in an M-rated fic with a Sexual Content advisory.

Someone repeatedly posting complaints about an affiliated site in their status updates does not require any action from a moderator.

Double posting is strongly discouraged outside of House Cup events.

Members are not required to credit themselves provided that they made the graphics they're using.

A link to a multi-chaptered story on AO3 that includes two explicit consensual sex scenes is acceptable as long as it's rated M.

Members over the age of 18 may use pictures of themselves as avatars.

Members are permitted to start new challenges while they're finishing up the judging for their first ones.
