All PACT's life & job skills projects are free for youth ages 13-21. 

Please see each program for suitable age suggestions.

Group classes are drop-in and can be joined at anytime. However, participants must register before their first project/workshop session(s).

PACTMusic Project: Fall 2023 Session at PACT Studio 
Description: PACTMusic provides a supportive, nurturing, non-judgemental, and collaborative environment for youth to explore a variety of musical genres. Participants learn the basics of an instrument of their choice and take part in performing cover songs, as well as collaborating on writing and crafting original songs, with each session culminating in a community performance. PACTMusic offers youth an opportunity to express themselves creatively and communicate around important issues and challenges that they facing in today’s urban environments.
Start date: Every Sunday, starting: Sunday, October 1st, 2023 @ 12-3pm for 8 weeks 
Age group: 13-18
Site location: 101 Portland St. South Etobicoke, ON M8Y 1B1
Nearest major intersection: Queensway and Royal York Rd
Nearest subway station: Royal York Station 
Special features: A chance to meet guest musicians and visit a professional recording studio, all levels are welcome!

PACTMusic Songwriting Workshop: Fall 2023 Session at PACT Studio
Description: Youth will be guided through a process of collaborative writing by looking at the finer details of crafting a meaningful song. Participants will explore aspects of lyricism, instrumentation, song structure, and more. We will look in depth at how songwriting can be a powerful method of self-expression and transformation. Youth will also have the opportunity at the end of the session to record the song in a professional recording studio as a part of the final performance. This will act both as a way to inspire youth and for us to help promote their artistry.
Start date: Every Sunday, starting: Sunday, October 1st, 2023 @ 3-4pm for 8 weeks
