Anyone committed to maintaining and improving Salida's trails is welcome to apply for a seat on the board. In particular, we could use folks with the following skills:
• Fundraising
• Nonprofit administration
• Event planning & management
• Trail maintenance
• Land management
• Business development
• Volunteer management
• Finance / Accounting
• Grant writing & administration
• Marketing/PR
• Community building
---Board responsibilities-----
• Board members serve two-year terms
• Attend monthly monthly board meetings, and come prepared having read the agenda
• Read your email and respond as appropriate
• Sit on an SMT committee (trails, and fundraising/events), or otherwise participate in an active, specialized volunteer role (i.e. providing legal aid or tech support)
• Attend major SMT events and participate in “friendraising”
• Represent SMT in a positive light to residents and visitors
