of Personal Data
We welcome your participation in the activities/courses held by the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization (note 1). According to personal data protection regulations (note 2), we are required to notify you of the following statements regarding the collection and use (including processing) of your personal data and acquire your consent. Please read the statements patiently. Thank you for your cooperation.

Purpose of collection and use of personal data: for the promotion of Buddhism, as well as
educational, learning, caring and service purposes.

Content of personal data to be collected and use: name, ID or passport numbers,
contact details, etc.; please refer to the registration form for retails.
3.
Period, area of use, authorized users, and method of use of your personal data:
(1) Period of use: permanently, in order to give you constant care and service;
(2) Area of use: domestic and overseas areas where the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization operates, as well as other areas where other organizations or entities cooperating with the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization regarding charitable services and promotion of Buddhism have their establishment;
(3) Authorized user: all domestic and overseas institutions, entities, and affiliates inside the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization, as well as other domestic and overseas organizations or entities cooperating with the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization regarding charitable services and promotion of Buddhism;
(4) Method of use: computerized and manual processing and use.

With regard to your personal data collected by the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization, you are entitled to exercise the following rights with an application in writing accompanied by a valid identification document:
(1) To enquire about, browse, ask for copy of your personal data;
(2) To make supplement or correction to your personal data;
(3) To demand the cease of collection, processing and using of your personal data, as well as deletion of it, unless relevant law or government regulation states otherwise.

It is at your option to decide whether to provide your personal data or not. If you are not willing to provide your personal data, or the personal data you provided is incomplete, the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization might not be able to serve and care for you thoroughly, in which case we must beg for your forgiveness.

Minors must have their guardian consented and signed on their behalf.

The personal data you provide to the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization from area or region outside Taiwan may be subject to transmission to Taiwan or other areas relevant to the purpose of the collection, processing and use of your personal data. The Dharma Drum Mountain Organization will adopt high standard of data transmission method to protect your personal data.

The Dharma Drum Mountain Organization retains the right to alter, revise or change the content of this notice without prior notification. Please refer to the Dharma Drum Mountain Organization’s official website at
