Three O’clock Project (TOP) is excited to kick-off our school year 2022-2023 after school meal program alongside Hunger Relief Partners like YOU. The Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal entitlement program that provides funding to help offset the cost of providing healthy meals and snacks to children 18 & under, in a variety of care settings, including after-school programs

Please review the following information BEFORE determining you readiness to apply to be a Hunger Relief Partner with TOP this school year. At-risk after school programs MUST offer an enrichment activity. In addition to appropriate after-school programs, approved sites must meet the following standards and take required training with Three O’clock Project (TOP):

1. Each participating site must display the “And Justice for All” poster, Hunger Relief Partner poster, current health permit and the monthly menu (both provided by TOP) in locations visible to children, families, and visitors. If you do not have these documents, we will provide them once you are approved as a partner.

2. At minimum, all Staff directly responsible for program administration (meal service and reporting) must attend After-School CACFP Training provided by TOP (training dates/times listed on our website); person(s) will be responsible for the performance of the site’s food distribution in accordance with established TOP, State of Louisiana, and USDA standards.

3. All site staff responsible for food distribution must complete the Food Safety and Civil Rights training material (provided by TOP) annually.

4. Sites may not charge students for the meals and may not receive funding or reimbursement from any governmental entity.

5. Hunger Relief Partner serve at-risk youth and are compliant with a culture of inclusivity in accordance with USDA's Nondiscrimination Statement: https://www.fns.usda.gov/usda-nondiscrimination-statement

State your proposed meal service time (a minimum of 30 minutes and maximum of 2 hours required). Note: Service must begin AFTER school has let out for the day and you are in "after school programs." Service must begin at the approved serving time. Any and all changes to serving times must be pre-approved with TOP in advance. *

Even if you were a partner during 2021-2022 school year, all staff must still attend in order to participate in 2022-2023 programming. Training will be approximately one hour via Zoom. Times and dates will be offered throughout the school year and schedules will be sent to you once your application is approved to be a Hunger Relief Partner with TOP. If your site does not attend a training, you will not be able to participate with the CACFP in partnership with TOP. *
