Welcome!
Thank you for proposing to voluntarily lead a class or social group in the GHF Virtual Co-Op!  The steps include the following:

  • Please complete and submit this process by no later than December 20, 2023.  Earlier entries have first priority.
  • The Co-Op moderator team will quickly review your proposal and provide you with either an acceptance or a proposal to modify, based on GHF's mission or foreseeable needs.
  • The moderator team will then work with you to schedule your class or social groups, set up your Co-Op google classroom, and access zoom links.
  • If you request a co-teacher or co-lead, we will help you find a partner in the Mighty Networks space.  We encourage you to work with your partner with goals, management, and content.
  • Lead teachers are responsible for their own curriculum or learning plans.  To ensure classes are as financially accessible as possible, we ask teachers to list student supply needs before class enrollments.  The Co-Op discourages required curriculum purchases, providing Google Classroom to share handouts.   GHF is not able to make teacher reimbursements, and teachers may not collect any fees.  Teachers are also solely responsible for any copyright or trademark when sharing documents or images with families.
  • Social groups are similar in format to classes, and will generally run for 5 or 10 week sessions (unless leading a significant all-community event, such as a science fair).
  • As a condition of participating in the Co-Op, you expressly acknowledge that GHF will record all sessions for student safety protection.
The GHF volunteer moderators are here to support your teaching.  Please reach out at co-op@ghflearners.org if you have any questions, thoughts, or concerns.

We look forward to this new adventure together!
