Camp Hope 2023 - New Members Application
Hi there, and thanks for your interest in joining Camp HOPE on the playa in 2022!

You might know that Camp HOPE is all about Helping Others Party Effectively, but did you know that we have some values, too? Pls take a sec to read dis: https://www.camphope.rocks/about

We've built a super strong and supportive playa family that has fun connecting with the Burning Man community at large through our camp offerings. Each HOPE experience is meant to delight, replenish and welcome community members. We aim to create an inviting space where anyone can feel at ease upon entry. Experiences are designed with inclusivity and openness in mind so that hosts, participants, and new members of the Camp Hope family return to the default world with a renewed spirit.

We're doing our best to make sure each member of our little camp has the best experience possible. In order to do so, we review applications for new members so that everyone interested in joining for the first time will be considered. Our camp has a capacity of 50 members. Please answer all questions as thoroughly as possible so that our newbie team gets a good idea of who you are.

We'll begin reviewing apps on a rolling basis!

Our camp requires a strong amount of participation from all camp members, returning and new. Because we come from different walks of life and many of us make the journey to BRC from afar, our camp collects minimal camp dues from members and considers each person's needs to ensuring economic inclusivity.

Part of our ‘growth’ initiative aims to reduce waste year-over-year. We store and re-use as much as we can. Doing so helps us to keep our members from having to buy many new goods (such as bikes, coolers, tents, shade structures, etc.) only to throw them away each year. Such efforts help us remain small in numbers while contributing in big ways.

Thus, all camp members are expected to be on playa no later than Sunday mid-day, and leave no earlier than EOD Saturday to be part of both build and teardown on-playa.
Will this be your first Burning Man experience?
