Mothers on the Mic

Mothers on the Mic is a 5 week course of writing for performance led 4 awesome artists, followed by an opportunity to share some of your work at a live event with a supportive audience. Mothers on the Mic is produced by Lizzy Humber (Mothers Who Make), so all of these events take place in term time, in the day, and are designed for pregnant people / mothers / non binary parents who are interested in connecting to their creative voice. No experience is necessary, but experience also very welcome. There is no pressure to share your work publicly, although it will be great if you can come to watch/support the sharing. We will follow Mothers Who Make's Principles and Practice which you can read here: https://motherswhomake.org/principles But one of the most important things to know is that this will be adult centred content but children are very welcome too and are integrated into the creative space. Play, tears and snacks welcome from everyone.
