The Part-Time Junior Florist position is great for someone who is interested in working with flowers, plants, and coffee! Our ideal candidate is someone who is hard-working, has a positive outlook, and has a passion for flowers, coffee, plants, and all the good stuff in life.

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting management and lead designer with other day-to-day shop duties
- Pick up of merchandise and Delivery of daily orders
- Flower shop maintenance including processing flowers, cleaning buckets and vases, prepping vases for arrangements, etc
- Prepare the shop front through merchandising and setting up the outdoor display and patio
- Greeting and servicing customers with their orders
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils and other equipment
- Plant maintenance and care
- Handling payments and day-end operations
- Learning new trends & staying up to date in the floral industry

Reports to: Shop Manager & Lead Designer
Job Type: Part-Time Junior Florist (Seasonal) with opportunities for ongoing employment
$16-17/hour, on a 3 month contract

Requirements:
- Weekend availability
- Your own car and license (highly encouraged)
- A positive attitude that you can bring into work every day
- Work experience working in any type of customer-facing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing a high level of customer service
- Willingness to learn and change as the company changes
- Must be organized and take direction well

Bonus points (but not required)
- Barista experience
- Experience working in a flower shop
