We are excited that you are interested in becoming an Everyday
Entrepreneur (EE) school. The EE program is the national leader in impact
investing for community college everyday entrepreneurs. It is the preeminent
launchpad for early-stage entrepreneurs. The EE provides education, funding,
and mentoring support to aspiring entrepreneurs.
EE provides some seed funding,
and a playbook of proven best practices and operating procedures. This playbook
includes but is not limited to guidance for hosting successful pitch
competitions, running a structured venture fund, boot camp materials to help
educate students about starting a business and/or presenting an idea,
cultivating community support, access to a mentoring by the numbers program,
coaching on how to form a funding committee, and data tracking services, to
name a few. The goal is for NACCE's EE program to leverage all that has been
learned since 2018 (when EE started) and provide participating schools with all the
necessary tools to successfully manage and run a small business funding
program.
By completing this application successfully, you will be considered for the EE Program. The deadline to apply is June 30, 2024, however applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
If accepted, schools will receive one time funding of $5,000 and technical
assistance to help support a pitch competition. The $5,000 can be budgeted as follows ($4,000 for pitch prizes, $750 for a stipend for the program lead, and $250 for marketing).
Participating EE community colleges must be a NACCE member. The EE program is available for both college credit, and non-credit programs. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the EE program, applicants can be from any academic or non-credit program.
