2024 Maple Bank Farm job application
Hello! The next farm season is right around the corner and Maple Bank is looking to hire crew members to work in our field, farmstand, and farmers' market. Typical farm stand work hours are 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and field hours are 7:00 am to 4 pm. Work at the farm stand will begin in mid-April. Work for the field crew begins at the beginning of March but we will hire if needed into June.  Farmers markets are on Fridays and start the third week of June. We are open to both full-time and part-time schedules. 

We are looking for individuals who 
- Can work independently and in a team environment
- Pay attention to detail and takes care to make sure tasks are done properly
- Can work hard and efficiently 
- Take direction and learn tasks quickly
- Can work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc)(field crew only)
- Have a positive attitude/enthusiasm for farming/gardening/food production

Some typical Tasks for field crew: 
- Harvest and wash a variety of vegetables and fruits 
- Hand weeding and hoeing
- Transplanting (by hand and by tractor transplanter) 
- Setting up irrigation
- Greenhouse seeding, transplanting, and watering
- Operating cultivating tractors

Some typical Tasks for farm stand crew:
- Be a warm and welcoming presence for our customers
- Handle customer questions and feedback
- Check customers out using Square POS
- Stocking sales area
- Organizing sales area, back room, and walk-in cooler areas
- Cleaning
- Packing wholesale orders
- Take item inventory
